Grenache is the variety typically found in the Campo de Borja PDO. This grape is much loved for its complexity and aromas the world over. There are old vineyards (30 to 50 years old) with low yields, the quality of which is recognized all over the world.
Created in 1945 as Cooperativa Unión Agraria del Campo Santo, the winery belongs to the Campo de Borja Denomination of Origin - the grenache territory par excellence. At the foot of the Moncayo in the heart of Aragon one can find the ideal conditions to cultivate grenache and produce quality wines.
At 2,314 metres high, the Moncayo dominates the landscape of Aragon. It is the primary geographical landmark in the region and one that gives a special character to our wines.
Bodegas Ainzón is a winegrowers cooperative engaged with its people and region. The people have come together to create jobs and wealth, preserving unique landscapes and ancient vineyards.
Every detail needs to be taken into account to make good wine, starting with rigorous independent monitoring of all our vineyards and the ripening of the grapes.
