Urbezo, a historic area with one of the oldest winemaking traditions in Spain, is the birthplace of exceptional wines grown in the delimited geographical area, located in the municipality of Cariñena. With its stony, well-drained soils and the influence of the Moncayo winds, it offers unique conditions for vine cultivation. The respect for the environment and the ecological care in the vineyard ensure a responsible production, transmitting a commitment to nature in every glass.
In the Protected Designation of Origin Urbezo, the only one in Spain with its entire vineyard in organic production, the wines stand out for their authenticity. The absence of chemicals, preserves the original aromas of the grapes, creating wines with a singular personality. Grown on trellises and globet pruned, traditional varieties like Garnacha and Tempranillo, alongside other red and white varieties, lead to a pure expression of the terroir, reflecting the genuine character of the organic vineyard in every bottle.
At Bodegas Solar de Uberzo, family tradition is combined with modern technology in a meticulous winemaking process that guarantees the traceability of each wine. From harvest to bottling, every step is carefully monitored to produce wines of the highest quality. Young, crianza, and reserva wines are born from the selection of the finest grapes, which, after a rigorous tasting process, offer a unique sensory experience with every vintage.
In the Urbezo PDO, located north of the Monastery of La Virgen de Lagunas, the best wines from the red grapes Garnacha, Syrah, Merlot and Tempranillo rest in French and American oak barrels, where they gain complexity and maturity in an atmosphere of stillness. White varieties with great freshness and aroma, such as Chardonnay and Muscat of Alexandria, are released on the market in the same year of their harvest.
