ARAGON IS WINE
You can get lost among miles of endless vineyards, a sign of the importance of wine in local life. Over the centuries, winegrowers have sought out the best places to plant their vines. Why is it possible to find centuries-old vineyards? Its output is exquisite; one cannot turn away from such a special flavour. It is not a problem if sometimes the harvest has to be done by hand and plant by plant or if the plant produces less wine. The end result is more than worth it.
ORGANIC
Old vines and traditional farming methods go hand in hand. Aragón has preserved oenological treasures, old vines in height, with little productivity but protected by the wind and by centuries-old conservation techniques, transmitted from father to son
CENTURIES-OLD VINES
The old vineyards are an illustration of the generosity of Aragonese wine. When they are planted, the winegrower knows that it will be his children and grandchildren who will reap all the benefits. Some feel a vineyard that has existed for a minimum of 35 years should be considered old and the most demanding seek out century-old vineyards. In any case, delight is assured.
THE SOIL
With 4 designations of origin and 6 protected geographical indications, Aragonese wine is deeply nuanced. Undulating terrain, vast plains, crops at anywhere from 200 to 1,000 metres above sea level... It is easy to find stony soils that are poor in nutrients but have a high proportion of limestone. Healthy and with highly permeable, they favour the production of wines with intense aromas.
