Parraleta

DESCRIPTION

The Parraleta grape is originally from Somontano and is a grape found in Aragon alone. Although it had all but disappeared in the mid-70s, nowadays the Parraleta may well be an ideal flexible solution due to climate change. Budding late, this red variety can produce balanced, fruity wines or, alternatively, be the perfect ingredient in blends with other reds. Often confused with the Graciano variety, the Parraleta produces wines like this one with its purple hues and notes of black fruit and spices, with good acidity and tannin, the perfect mix for wines to be aged. More and more winegrowers and Aragonese wineries are opting to recover this varietal (among others) to underpin the identity of their wines and enhance the personality of our wines, thus giving rise to a new generation of fruity, elegant Parraleta wines that pair perfectly with contemporary cooking.
