Chardonnay

DESCRIPTION

Around the world, Chardonnay is considered the queen of white varieties. It is responsible for some of the best white wines in the world and versatile enough to also give rise to fresh and fruity wines. In Aragon there are fine examples of this grape in almost all production areas, although it is especially suited to the more temperate areas, thus evading the extremes. It is a fantastic example of a Terroir translator: in colder climes it produces drier wines with high acidity; in Aragon we find a more generous and friendly version, with wines redolent of ripe fruit with more volume in the mouth. Among its most notable aromas are citrus, white flowers and hints of white peach. There are plenty on offer in Somontano and Cariñena in a wide range of styles, from the youngest and most refreshing to highly complex wines that have undergone barrel fermentation or been aged in wood.
