DESCRIPTION
Planted in 1920, situated at 760 metres above sea level. Glacial soil composed of pudding stones, pebbles and red clay. The plantings in this vineyard are incorrectly identified as Garnacha & Monastrell in the vineyard register: the Monastrell is actually Moristel.
After discovering the resilience of Moristel and the Marzolin plot we have identified Moristel correctly with the collaboration of Vitis Navarra and the University of Pamplona and plan to have the parcel correctly reflected in the vineyard register.
From 2025 we will propogate our own selection which we will plant out in our new vineyard plantings... 2022 seemed the best time to release this singel vineyard wine, given how close we came to losing it in July of the same year.

TASTING NOTES
Aromas of dark cherries, Mediterranean herbs and a violet-like floral note.
The palate is medium- to full-bodied with juicy, powdery tannins and lovely red berry character.
This is made from a vineyard planted in 1920 with garnacha and moristel.
